When was the last time you pondered this truth – you are an enemy of the devil? When you woke up this morning did you consider yourself a threat to the kingdom of darkness? Well, that’s what God anticipates you are! “They triumphed over [the Evil One] by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death.” Jesus and His power displayed and proclaimed in your life as a Christian are the keys to triumphing over evil. At your point of surrender to Jesus as Lord and Savior you were enlisted to participate in God’s redemptive work on the earth now – whether you understood that at that time or not. God has given every Christian a sphere of influence to proclaim His Word and His work. We can begin to do this simply by sharing how Jesus rescued us from the domain of darkness and transferred us to the Kingdom of light. As we proclaim His power in our own lives the Spirit goes to work in the hearts of those hearing. Sharing how God’s story intersected with our story can feel intimidating, however the beauty of sharing our story is that no one can successfully challenge our testimony because it’s our personal experience with God. And our testimony isn’t just for unbelievers about how God redeemed us in the past. The way we live NOW is also an integral part of our testimony. People take notice when Christians live like the good news is good news to them – when our beliefs and our lifestyle actually align. So, take advantage of the opportunities God gives you to share how your life is still being transformed by the Gospel and its power. Pray for opportunities this week to share how Christ is ruling over and directing your attitudes, finances, purity, marriage, mouth, etc. as you live as a citizen in His Kingdom. So, be the threat to the kingdom of darkness you were saved by God to be by sharing “the word of your testimony” with someone!
